Song of Lahore
After toiling in obscurity for years in Pakistan, an innovative album leads Sachal Studios to international acclaim, and a triumphant concert with Wynton Marsalis and his orchestra at Jazz at Lincoln Center. This feature length documentary produced and directed by Andy Schocken and Academy Award winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy follows their dramatic journey, and asks if they will ever find an audience at home.
Song of Lahore was a runner up for the Audience Award at Tribeca and IDFA, and will be released theatrically by Broad Green Pictures.
